Each day I receive a lot of messages from our loyal readers.  Today, I respond to 3 of those emails.

If you’d like to send me a message, please do so using the Submit News tab at the top of this website.

Thank you, DML, for writing what I was thinking. I thought from the beginning that he was set up. You connect the dots very well, my friend. I cannot understand why no one else sees this. Keep up  the great work!

DML: Although it appears at first blush that this meeting could have been a setup, keep in mind that special counsel Mueller won’t care if it was or was not.  He is looking for collusion.  He will care only that Don Jr. was willing to meet with someone who had Russian intelligence. Even if this meeting is proven to be a set up, the probe just got longer and more sticky.

Dennis, I have never emailed before.  I am concerned about the GOP pushing off the healthcare bill again.  When does the pushing the bill down the road end?

DML:  It doesn’t end until Obamacare ends.  That said, keep in mind the GOP does not want Trump to be president.  They never did.  They never will.  The healthcare law as you see it now will go nowhere, in the process they try to make Trump appear ineffective.

Can you please set the record straight about your plans to build your network.  There are so many stories out there and I would really like to hear from you!  I’ve been a huge fan for a long time.

DML:  From the messages in my inbox I’ve heard about the few stories out there and not a single one of them is true.  Here are the facts when it comes to the Walk & Talk and the future of DML TV.

I started producing video reports in August, one week after leaving NewsmaxTV.  The video reports morphed into the Walk & Talk by early fall 2016.  I did a W&T every day of the week at 11:40am EDT.

In January, Feb and March of 2017, my schedule became so insanely busy that I tried having a “fill in host” for the W&T.  Unfortunately, my viewers didn’t like the change of face.  Whenever I had a fill in host the W&T viewership numbers dropped significantly.   People complained to me about it nonstop via email.

It wasn’t until April 2017 that I established the studio.  At that point I added other people to my show F/T.   The occasional Skype guest and the daily in-house commentator sitting at my side was something I thought the audience would like.  I was wrong.

In addition, I rolled out the beta test of an evening show called ‘The Truth.’   The evening show also included a Skype guest and an in-house commentator at my side, plus it offered a segment where a reporter delivered a short commentary called, The DML Report.  Again, I thought this would be something the viewers would want.  Again, I was wrong.

Although both shows were well produced, I received complaints about the sound and lighting. People didn’t like the studio. People didn’t like this person or that person, and they didn’t like the overall feel of the shows. Meanwhile, when I did the original W&T, I never received complaints.

That said, we did have some people say they loved the new format but in the end the numbers worked against us. The new shows never received the viewers that my original Walk & Talks attracted.

I’ve always taken stock in the emails I receive from my supporters, and fact is the majority of people complained nonstop about not having the “real W&T.”

We then tried another show called Harlan on the Hill.   The first beta show was a disaster.  I think we had about 2,000 people tune in, but within minutes they all left — we went down to 150 viewers.   I wrote an email to staff stating it wasn’t the sort of vision I had for the show and asked they change it up.  After 4 days of terribly low viewership and less than acceptable share counts, I stopped the production.

I asked the team to try again a few weeks later.  Although the viewer count went up slightly, the numbers were well below where they needed to be.  Thus, after just a few days I decided the show was not a viable DML brand. There were also other factors to play into my decision, but no need discuss them.  Most important thing to know is I pulled the plug on the shows and decided I needed to revisit the programming strategy.   That said, I don’t blame anyone but myself.  Furthermore, I have a brand to protect and a reputation for delivering unique content which I will not compromise.

Bottom line is this…
Team DML is strong, dedicated, talented, and honest.  My core team has been with me for a long time. As noted, we are coming off the best month of the year. Unfortunately, I’m a bit under the weather battling two health issues that won’t get better overnight.  Therefore, the ramp up will take a little longer than I like.

When we are back in full swing, here is what you can bank on:
Based on months of feedback from thousands of people, the DML viewership wants the original Walk & Talk to be the staple of the DML network.    Thus, we are heading back to the original W&T format and preparing a new studio that allows me to interact with my audience throughout the day,  all day long.  In addition, I will invite Skype guests from time to time.  We have all the equipment in place.
