Hi Dennis, I just finished reading about the woman that towed her kids in a plastic wagon behind her car. It was indeed a poor judgement call on her part to do this. Thankfully, the kids didn’t get hurt. If someone in a rural area gave their kids a ride behind a riding mower in their yard, I’d say nothing would have been said.
It brought to mind about the time I gave my first husband a ride behind the car on a sled. We had a big snow and the back roads were packed down with snow and ice. We had been outside sled riding. This was our first winter together and we were only 19. He got the bright idea of pulling each other behind the car on the sled. I rode first. It was so much fun! Then I pulled him. Well, I got afraid that he would slide under the car and get hurt, so I speeded up. It didn’t last long! He got a scary ride, before I heard him yelling to stop! Boy, did I ever get a cussing! I didn’t laugh about it then, but I sure do now. LOL. Hope you are having a good weekend!
DML: When I was a kid and it snowed, boys would “skitch” on the back of cars by grabbing the rear bumper. I never did it because my mother said I could die if I got caught under the car. I will admit though, it looked like fun. But a mother towing small kids in a wagon is insane.
I am officially to the point where I believe Trump is a lame duck president. The recent information about the Russia meeting with Don Jr is the final blow. It gets worse and worse each day and I watched the video of Jake Tapper. Although CNN is a mess, everything Jake said made sense to me. There is no way President Trump didn’t know about such a huge meeting taking place at his building. This will all cause crap to hit the fan. The healthcare bill will not pass, tax reform will not happen, and the GOP will lose the senate in 2018. Trump is a 4-year president. I am so depressed.
DML: I’m not sure what I can say to you at this point about the Russia meeting. I will say jobs are better. ISIS is fading. The border is getting better. VA is getting better…
I took your poll this morning about saving money. I wish you would have asked how much money people have saved in their accounts. I am 61 and worked all my life. I do not smoke or drink and I am an honest Christian. But I only have $57 in my savings account. Ten years ago I had $63,000 saved. Being out of work for so many years plus healthcare issues, plus increased living expenses have taken all my money. I am now on government assistance and I suspect I will be for the rest of my life. It is heartbreaking and America is never going to be great again for me.
DML: I am so sorry Lou. I am so sorry. That said, hang in there and try to remain positive.
