Each day, I receive a wave of emails from our readers. Today, I respond to three of them.

FROM SCOTT:
Today’s poll.  You mention starting a 3rd political party but the reality is that is a tall mountain to climb in todays political environment.  You would have to draw people out of both of the current parties to avoid a power grab by the Democrats by just weakening the Republican control of Washington.  The Democrats are like the Mafia.  They control their money, their elected leaders and their voters.  Democratic congressmen do as they are told by their party leaders or risk political suicide, not by their voters but by their party.  The Republicans are controlled by lobbyists as seen by their willingness to sometimes side with the Democrats more than with their own voters.

It’s going to take millions of voters to march on Washington and demand change, not leaving until our elected leaders see us ready to physically throw them out of office essentially firing them on the spot, impatient at this point to wait until election day.I basically vote Republican to keep more Democrats out of office.

DML: Two years ago, during a casual phone conversation I was having with political strategist Dick Morris, I asked if there was a chance that an Independent candidate would or could ever win a presidential election. Morris said there was only one person he knew of that could run as an Independent and stand a chance, let alone get on the ballot. That person was Donald Trump.

This was before he decided to announce his candidacy, by the way.

Morris said that Trump possessed the three major “must-have” ingredients for a candidate to make it as an Independent: “Money, name recognition, and power of the press.”  I wonder if he would have won had he run as an Independent. Then again, I guess it doesn’t matter now.

FROM ROXANNE:
Here’s my take on the Trump/Sessions issue.  Trump has a method to his madness.  He knows the media and liberals will be against ANYTHING Trump.  He wants a full investigation into Hillary/Obama/Lynch/Comey/etc...  The only way to get the media, some other Republicans and the liberals on board with anything like that is to have Sessions open the investigation “on his own”.  But…before that…publicly state you are disappointed with Sessions.  Publicly be against him.  Jeff Sessions is just smart enough to go along with it.   Watch and see. Just my humble opinion.

DML: I disagree with you. What’s been done to Sessions in public is the single worst thing I’ve seen Trump do, so far, and just about every single person I see on TV agrees with me. There is no “strategy” that supports or justifies taking your own attorney general and humiliating him across the world, especially after he played a SIGNIFICANT role in getting you elected and, to date, has been the most productive member of the administration. If Sessions leaves, which he won’t, or is fired, which is possible, Trump will forever regret it. Watch and see. Just my humble opinion… (Smiles)

Meanwhile, I was happy to hear about the announcement that Sessions will turn up the heat on finding the leakers.

FROM KEN:
Thank you Lord for Trump’s decision on transgender people being in the military.

DML: I said it the other day, the only advisors I believe Trump takes seriously are those in the military.
