DML: I Respond to 3 Interesting Emails You Sent Me

At first, I was irritated with President Trump especially after the DACA announcement but this is now my opinion from part of your post today. “Some say he has no choice because Republicans won’t help him move his agenda through.” I believe this to be true and so I voted no in poll.

DML: The poll on Friday asks if people are upset with Trump’s new connection to Pelosi and Schumer. I think it’s brutally hard on both sides. For so long, this country has been divided and the Congress stalled, because of partisanship. I recall when I was exploring a run, I would tell people, “If you want a president who hates all Democrats, I’m not your man.” That said, Trump is running out of runway and he realizes he has to do something to stir the GOP. However, if he pushes for amnesty of 30 million people in exchange for a border wall, I will never support another word he says.

According to his recent tweet, Trump will not enforce an end to DACA for 6 months, apparently so that congress has time to make it legal through legislation.  While appearing to yield to his base, it seems he is in fact using obfuscation to preserve DACA.  Additionally he will make our efforts to stop DACA harder because now we have to deal with 535 Senators and Congressmen.

He could have put an end to it immediately, but instead he plays this “it is ok if it is done legally” baloney.   No, it’s not OK.  They should never have been here in the first place.  Now, thanks to Trump the amnesty crowd will have an opportunity to retroactively make what was illegal, legal?  And you know he will sign a bill like that. So Thanks to Trump, Obama will probably achieved the ultimate goal of his DACA: more amnesty for illegal aliens.  And no, there will be no deal with Democrats and RINO’s to get reciprocal legislation to compensate by a reduction in future emigration —well, perhaps a reduction in immigration from Europe but certainly not Muslims, China or South America. Reagan thought he had a deal with the Democrats for tight immigration enforcement forever as a trade off for the 1986 amnesty and, of course, the Democrats broke their promises.  And it will happen again with Trump.

I consider Trumps decision on DACA a betrayal of those of us who supported him.  We made painful sacrifices of precious time, neglecting our loved ones and contributed money we could ill afford to give.  And this is how he shows his gratitude?  He cries over illegal aliens who grew from child to adult by evading our law and got $100,000 in free education paid for by us and God knows how much welfare.  And soon they will become another one million more future Democrat voters to vote against the people who voted for him.  And none of this would have been possible except Trump broke his promise to us.

I am heart broken.  I can not support him anymore, and I know, if I feel this way there are millions of others who feel the same.  I know what the probable consequences of my decision may be, but as I feel now, I think to myself, if America and freedom are going to die, then let’s bring this to an end and get it over with instead of the torturous drip, drip, like someone with cancer slowly dying in front of our eyes.

DML: I fear the difference between Trump and myself is, I actually believe what I say about immigration. If he continues on the DACA train, he will lose 2020, hands down.
