1) From Allyson:
DML, My first time writing in with a question (sure hope I’m submitting the correct way). The President is focused on reporting how his cabinet members are not in place yet, but never talks about the 500+ that need to be selected for support positions. Why is this process not started? If it is, why is it not talked about? I read a news report that this includes (not limited to) support staff to his cabinet picks. Thank you for all that you do! I’m a huge fan! Allyson
DML: Be careful of what you read, and where you read it. Although you can ALWAYS trust what you find on our website. 🙂
In late December, a trusted associate of mine turned down a job offer from me because he is being considered for a position at the White House. It isn’t a key job that would be covered by the press, but it is a staff role working in a department that would be spearheaded by one of the high-profile names Trump picked for a top spot in the White House. In other words, the wheels are in motion, and they have been in motion. As to why this isn’t discussed? It isn’t sexy.
Keep in mind, although the president is upset about the process in which his nominees are being confirmed, the Obama administration went through a similar process, albeit less brutal. A month from now, this will seem like a bad dream and the teams will be in order.
2) From Eustacia K:
One word: “UGG.”
Trump’s recent tweet: “Arnold Schwarzenegger isn’t voluntarily leaving the Apprentice, he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show”
Arnold Schwarzenegger isn’t voluntarily leaving the Apprentice, he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017
DML: Yup. I agree. I don’t get it. He gives the speech of a lifetime on Tuesday and gets a pop from the stock market success. No “Fake News” tweets for two days to blanket over the speech. I am in total bliss…
On Saturday morning, he blasts a series of emails targeting Obama, calling him a “sick man.” He accuses the former president of tapping his phone lines at Trump Tower prior to the election. This is MAJOR STUFF … and I mean, MAJOR STUFF.
Unfortunately, his tweets offer no evidence or information about the wiretapping, but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that there is evidence of wiretapping on Obama’s part. That said, why in heaven’s name would he follow that up with a tweet about Arnold leaving the Apprentice? First of all, who gives a damn. Second of all, in my opinion, this is why he cannot get out from under the headlines he hates. He fuels his own pain — he fuels the media with this BS. He literally hands them bullets to shoot at him.
By tweeting about Arnold, he gives the media an extra anti-Trump headline they otherwise would not have; and there is an argument that says his Arnold tweet, which was sent out on the heels of the Obama wiretapping tweets, dilutes the severity of the wiretapping accusations.
But forget about the media, what really scares me about the Arnold tweet is this….
This morning I have already received two emails from my liberal friends who voted for him over Hillary. One read, “DML, I don’t think he’s playing with a full deck.” The other one said, “Losing confidence.” Bottom line: It places questions in the minds of voters. They question what matters most to him — what’s good for Trump, or what’s good for America?
I am truly baffled this morning.
3) From Wil C:
BREAKING : Mark Levin Urges Congress to Investigate Obama’s Silent Coup
What is true here? Could Obama have used the FBI wiretaps on the Trump campaign to undermine what they were doing like the Dems did to Sanders. Then use that info now to set up what is nothing less than a coup? Does this Mark Levin story have merit? I’m sure you can get at the whole story. It outline in detail the timeline of events.
Your insight and thoughts and directions on where this is going…..Thanks!
DML: This is one of those times when we’ll allow the information to develop before we go diving into the pool, head first. Lots of moving parts here, and I have ZERO confidence in Mark Levin. I think he is nothing more than a ratings-grabber with a big mouth who went from hating on Trump to now supporting him in order to survive (much like his pal, Ted Cruz).
The accusations being made here are of an epic level and I would rather get the story right than get the story first. Either way, this wiretapping accusation is now the headline grabber, which is good in the sense that it takes the focus off Sessions and Russia. But that damn Arnold tweet….
