I saw the story about veterans talking about their right to fly the American Flag.  Like your letter to the president last night was saying, this is getting so insane.  We are always told we fight back at the voting booth.  But we see that is not even working.  How long can we keep sitting here watching it go down the tubes.  It seems like we have to stand up and let the other side know we are not going to lay down while they turn this county into a freak show!!!

DML: Yes, in the story we posted the veterans are told to take the flags down off their homes.  It is crazy.  And you are correct about fighting back by voting out the bad actors.  However, in this environment there is no middle ground.  We are at a point where the Democrats and Republicans will not work together.  So the only way to get things done is to have a huge majority.   Unless the Senate grabs more than 60 seats in 2018, and unless the House stays where it is now, not much of anything will get done.   Pathetic.

I just took your poll about Kushner being ousted from the White House.  I really want this guy gone.  I believe he is a bad dude and I trust him as much as I can throw him.  I can care less if Ivanka doesn’t like it.  I didn’t vote for her.

DML: I don’t think the president will remove Kushner unless he is found guilty of some horrendous act.  And if that happens, the speculation around Trump’s involvement will be endless.  I hate to say it, but I think he’s there to stay.

FROM JOHN
DML, While reading your answer to one of the emails from today (now yesterday), you made news to me and others. Your answer to someone who had said they hoped you could get to bottom of Seth Rich story shocked me! You stated the story would die unless Hannity continued because you don’t have the finances or the personnel to investigate the story. Again, This caught me by surprise, since I thought your news app was more then a retelling of news found in other media outlets. I guess I had thought that you have and would continue to investigate important stories like the possible blockbuster potential this Seth Rich story has. I had thought, I guess wrongly that you do investigate stories as your own news outlet. Was I wrong to think that is what you do? Thanks, John

DML:  Unfortunately, our app does not solve murder mysteries.  It is a tool used to feed news stories and videos to people so that they do not have to rely solely on social media platforms, e.g. Facebook. Our current app is the first version of a system we are developing to build programming that will land on a TV set in the future.

Moving on, as noted, it would take great financial and human resources to investigate a murder mystery that took place in Washington DC nearly one year ago.  We are not a police department, nor the FBI.  We do not have the money to hire forensics teams.  We do not have the massive resources to solve crimes of this nature.  As noted, Fox News and Hannity have those resources, but Sean has backed away from the story.  Again, I know of no other outlet that has those sort of resources.   We certainly do not have the money to hire the best private investigators who operate out of DC.

As for what we report each day… we report the same way Fox or CNN reports the current news of the day but with a twist.  We take time to ensure there is clarity to the report so that you, the reader or viewer, can feel comfortable about what is true and what it false.  We do this because these outlets tend to be biased and unreliable.  I would consider us the “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval” in the news business.  I also think we do a great job and cutting things down into small, understandable bites so that the reader and viewer can understand what is often complex.  In addition, we do conduct original reports, and we do create films and videos, and we do produce daily shows — last time I checked, they are all very original, and our “stuff” is often copied by others.  To do this sort of thing is very expensive.  I hope this post answers your questions. – DML
