FROM LARRY
“DML, there are so many problems in the world and you appear to be a man who is determined to fix them all.  Many of the problems we face are old problems resurfacing again.  I see you put so much time into reading our emails and speaking to us directly on the Walk & Talk… it’s so admirable.  Being a man who puts a lot of stock into the opinions and thoughts of others,  I have to ask you this question…. if you were president and could meet with one person from the past to help you solve the problems we face as a nation today, who would you meet with?”

DML:  I would pick George Washington because as one of the most prominent founding fathers, I believe GW understands what this country was founded on better than anyone.  I’d ask him to interpret everything he could for me based on what he and the other founding fathers intended American to be.  Larry, your question was so interesting that I made it into a poll question today for people to chose their person of interest.

FROM RHONDA
DML, your letter to the president last night about your experience on 9/11 and asking him to remain focused on the issues that matter most was so amazing that it made me cry. I do not say that lightly as I am one tough cookie. I think you will look back one day on these letters and be thankful you wrote them. If you do one day run for office these letter will help you get elected. I hope you will run because not only would I vote for you, but I would work for your campaign!!!! Love you and Harlan.

DML: I pray for my friend John, and all those who suffer from that horrible day. Thank you for the kind words.

FROM BEN:
Do you think the president should exercise executive privilege and prevent Comey from testifying this week?

DML: No.  Let Comey speak and then lets be done with him. It’s the only way to move on.  If Trump pulls the executive privilege option, I think he’s in trouble long term. Perception is reality, and the press will never every stop with the narrative that Trump is hiding something.
