After reading your article this morning “DOJ: Will not charge IRS official Lois Lerner for targeting conservatives” I am just disgusted. Corruption and double standards are endless. I truly believe that Hilary Clinton could be caught with the smoking gun in her hand standing over the body of Seth Rich and she would still walk.
DML: It is disgusting. You have to assume there are so many back room deals done that you and I will never know about and they will continue until I am elected president one day. LOL.
I am so concerned about this storm, I really believe it will wipe out many communities in Florida. I look at the results in the Caribbean and I quiver. Is this storm as bad as it looks or is this the media’s way of getting eyeballs? BTW, there were some people on Facebook ripping your team for publishing a story about Rush Limbaugh downplaying the hurricane and how he says the media and stores collude. I listen to Rush but he was stupid to say those things.
DML: My son is stuck in Florida and trying to get out. I too am fearing Irma. As for Rush… My writer’s article did nothing more than repeat his words, so anyone who attacks us is being silly. This isn’t the first time we’ve been attacked for stuff other people say and do, it won’t be the last. I had one woman tell me she was “leaving me” after “being with me” for years because we printed what Rush had to say. I told her to stay well.
As for the collusion theory he shared about the big stores and the media. Yes, the media plays up the storms, and yes the reports help send people to the big stores to buy water and batteries, but what’s the alternative? If the media doesn’t report the potential threat then people may not take it seriously and as a result pay the price with their lives. Last time I checked, bottled water and batteries don’t go bad, so it’s not like people are buying things they’ll lose out on later.
He also mentioned the lack of need to buy bottled water because “tap water” is good. What a stupid statement. The last time I checked if people need to evacuate, as they have in this case, they can’t take the kitchen sink. Not to mention, the tap water can be subject to various problems based on the storm’s destruction. I for one know that when street construction is done outside my home the water gets rust particles because of how old it is.
Rush is a conservative icon, and I like him, but to be honest he has some nerve talking about selling fear in exchange for revenue. The guy has more commercials than content. He sells books and items all day long. Some of his segments can be deemed as selling “political fear.” Bottom line, I’ll still like Rush tomorrow — we all make mistakes and stay stupid stuff. For Rush, this is one of those times.
Good Morning DML and Company. I’m a huge fan!
Blessings to you! 🙂
DML: No flood zone is great for the protection from water, but Tammy, the winds are just as dangerous. Please don’t do anything silly. Have your batteries charged. When the weather gets to Tampa, IF YOU ARE SAFE, email me at the email address my team provided you. I will call and perhaps we’ll do a Facebook LIVE together.
I took your poll about Houston churches receiving government funding. I voted yes, and I am happy to see the DML family of readers agree with me.
