Each day I receive a lot of messages from our readers. Today, I respond to 5 of them. If you’d like to send me a message, please do so using the Submit News tab at the top of this page.

FROM MIKE:
The DML report about the US labor shortage being a false claim from the White House is true.  I am a hard working male, 43 years old with a 4 year degree and I cannot get a job in hotel and restaurant management.  I worked for 14 years for a major chain and I left due to a forced moved from state to state.  My wife has her new job but I cannot find work.  Everyone working now is on a visa of some kind or recently immigrated here.  I have found two jobs open for $15 per hour.  I used to earn $75,000 per year.   Depressing times DML.

DML: I am sorry to hear this is happening to you. I will say you are not alone. It’s “fake news” to claim there are more jobs open than people looking for work. We just placed ads for writers and proof readers. We’ve received over 500 applications for 10 open positions. People are looking for work.

FROM SUE:
I voted for ending illegal immigration in your poll today about the number one item you want Trump to fix.  It effects everything in our country and as of now I don’t see enough being done.  You say all the time about the illegals being outside of Home Depot still today.  You are 200% correct.  Yesterday my daughter and her husband were at LOWES getting a closet door when an illegal backed into their SUV.  The guy had no license or insurance and the cop did nothing.  I’m so tired of this nonsense.

DML: My broken drum continues to beat the same message. Kill the jobs magnet, Mr. President.

FROM LYNN:
Why DML are u reporting fake news? Trump said no second meeting happened!

DML:  You are referring to our report yesterday that Trump held a second undisclosed conversation with Putin.

First, just because Trump tweets something doesn’t make it true. I think he’s proven that one or two times already. Second, we did not report on a meeting, we reported on a “second conversation.” Huge difference between the two. Other outlets did use the word “meeting.” We did not. Last, but not least, every news agency reported about the conversation including the president’s beloved Fox News, which, by the way, confirmed the second conversation took place with a White House official. FROM BRIAN:

I thought that you were a voice I could listen too. I thought no matter how much the liberal media attacked Trump, you would be a voice to help his agenda. I am having second thoughts. Your blogs are so anti Trump that now I believe you were never in his corner. You fooled me but only for awhile.

DML: We report the news, both good and bad. We report on politics, both good and bad. Therefore, you will find a wide range of news reports, both good and bad on our website. Unfortunately for you, we won’t report only the good. I understand our sort of reporting will rub some people the wrong way, you being one of them. But we don’t cater to people who are part of the #NeverWrong faction that believes the president walks on water; we don’t believe Trump is infallible. We praise him when and if warranted. Therefore, because your email is expectantly vague, meaning, you provide no example to support your claims, allow me to say nobody here is trying to fool you. We do combat the phony stories, and when I do offer opinion pieces, I often provide analysis that breaks down the BS pushed by the left. My letters to the president are mostly positive. But, if you want me to write articles that claim the president walks on water, you’ve come to the wrong location. If you want #NeverWrong news, there are a few websites out there who can serve your needs. Wherever you land, good luck to you, Brian.

FROM ELAINE:
Hope you are feeling better!!! Elaine from CT… We need baseball hats to represent!!!

DML: I appreciate the email. I should get back some test results on Friday. Unfortunately, my legs continue to swell and the pain of walking is no better than it was two weeks ago. I also go in for my procedure in two weeks. Meanwhile, everyone around me is working hard to get a new studio in place and keeping our online reporting flowing. I have my feet up on the chair most of the day. Taking it really slow, and really easy. Not my style… to be honest, it’s driving me crazy. Hats to come soon I hope. Thanks!!!
