DML: I Respond to Just ONE Interesting Email You Sent Me

Each day, I receive an incredibly high number of emails and messages from our readership. On most days, I will respond to three messages, sometimes more. I also post photos sent in from people — most of them wearing a DML News hat, or proudly displaying our ‘I STAND FOR MY FLAG’ bumper sticker.

Today, I feel the need to do something different, and it’s not because my inbox is filled with letters and emails from people who are outraged over the Facebook gods putting my personal account on lockdown (side note: I remain locked out of FB).

Today, I feel the need to do something different because, with all the noise that comes with a nonstop flow of news and opinion, we often fail to focus in long enough on one item. The buzz becomes so great that it’s hard to think straight. Thus, I am posting just one email received on this Wednesday. There will be no pictures today.

Unlike other days, I will not respond to the email because the message sent by “Ryan” is worth digesting on its own.  It’s a thought-provoking message no matter where you stand — or what you believe or do not believe — with regard to the sexual misconduct allegations against Judge Roy Moore and how they could end his bid for the U.S. Senate.

I have posted emails from Ryan before. He is a former Trump campaign volunteer from California.

FROM RYAN:
Dennis, I’m not at all surprised by these last minute allegations against Roy Moore. The timing, moral preening, and everything about it seems staged and coordinated by the Establishment. Why now? Moore has made headlines in high profile elections for decades. This is about quashing Bannon and the MAGA movement, and keeping control.

I’ve always thought that Roy Moore’s election is one of the biggest inflection points in modern American history. The primaries served to get Trump’s head back in the game after going all in for Strange. The general election will be a rebuke of the Establishment.

Frivolous sexual misconduct accusations with underage girls may very well become the new norm in politics since the race card no longer works. This is another reason Moore must win, and he will.

Let’s not forget that Trump was accused of raping a 13 year old before last year’s election and then magically, on Nov 9, the story went away. Now Hannity starts losing sponsors and he’s giving Roy Moore a 24 hour ultimatum? Forget draining the swamp, maybe we should try to drain a coffee maker, first.

There are inconsistencies and oddities in some of these accusations. The timing is also extremely suspect.

On the other hand, there may be some truth to Moore having had a proclivity toward “barely legal” girls, which would be unfortunate, though not illegal. 16 is the age of consent in Alabama. In America, it is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, and 40 years later, there needs to be solid proof. I say let the people of Alabama decide.

I wish my first choice, Mo Brooks, had won the primary because I think he’s the best candidate. I like Roy Moore because he fights back and will do what needs to be done on immigration, but he has some far out there views on other things.

Ten years ago my 17 year old sister ran off with one of her 40-something drama teachers. Shortly after graduation, they got married (They were smart enough not to invite me). I was in my mid twenties and devastated. But here’s the thing, nobody really cared after the first few weeks except me. Police and the school launched a token investigation that we never heard from again.

My parents eventually divorced and simply gave up on the issue, later essentially disowning me for making their lives too complicated. I, on the other hand, did everything I could to make this guy’s life miserable. I even went to his work at Intel and posted flyers on every car in the parking lot with his photo, cube number, and what he did. Nothing happened to him but I am now banned from ever setting foot on an Intel campus, and will be arrested for trespassing if I do. Certainly the media wouldn’t have cared if I had told them. The whole experience was life-changing and made me emotionally numb in some ways. I also learned just how apathetic we have become as a society. Oh, he eventually cheated on her and they divorced.z

(On a side note: I also realized while doing this just how many Indian tech workers Intel has. So many elephant-headed statues in people’s cars. Seemed like half the parking lot.)

*I will post pictures again tomorrow.
