Good morning, it’s going to be a busy day. Below are the stories I am watching for April 29.

FROM THE RIGHT
FOX NEWS reports Biden to hold first campaign rally in battleground Pennsylvania. Former Vice President Joe Biden is give the first campaign speech of his official 2020 presidential campaign on Monday and it’s no coincidence that it will be in the battleground state of Pennsylvania. Biden is a longtime former senator from neighboring Delaware, he was born in Pennsylvania, is the only primary candidate from the area, and has numerous ties there. His planned speech to an organized labor crowd in Pittsburgh comes days after he announced his candidacy and promptly went to a fundraiser in Philadelphia organized by the area’s prominent Democrats. In Pittsburgh, Biden is expected to receive the endorsement of the International Association of Fire Fighters and speak about rebuilding the middle class. Expect President Trump to be watching closely. Brad Parscale, Trump’s campaign manager, told CBS’ “Face the Nation” that he believes four left-leaning states — New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado — could be up for grabs and that the campaign understands the importance of maintaining support in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Florida.

MY TAKE: Dear GOP, Don’t take Biden seriously and face the consequences. Love, DML.

ALSOTrump explains record migration influx, says Dems have turned border into ‘Disneyland’. President Trump told “Sunday Morning Futures” that illegal immigrants are pouring into the country at unprecedented rates “because our economy is so good,” and “everyone wants a piece of it” — and, he asserted, Democrats have now provided major incentives for illegal immigrants to bring children with them as a legal shield.”we go out and we stop the separation,” Trump said in an interview with Maria Bartiromo. “The problem is you have 10 times more people coming up with their families. It’s like Disneyland now.”

MY TAKE: So why not cut off the jobs market, Mr. President?  The first story from AXIOS (see below) will make this all the more eye opening. And finally, allow me to add that Disneyland statement sounds awfully familiar.  “There’s no humanitarian crisis, these kids coming up from Latin America are getting an upgrade, they are waiting on line to enter Disneyland.” — DML to Megyn Kelly 2014.

FROM THE LEFT
AXIOS
reports the U.S. is projected to become majority minority by 2045, Axios’ Stef Kight writes: Next year, the entire under-18 population will be majority non-white, according to William Frey, a Brookings demographer and author of “Diversity Explosion: How New Racial Demographics are Remaking America.”

In less than a decade, the population under 30 will be majority non-white.
The bottom line: “Youthful minorities are the engine of future growth,” per Brookings.

Why it’s happening: The trend is largely due to a rise in Hispanic and Asian immigrants, as well as slightly higher birth rates among non-whites. Why it matters: The U.S. can thrive as it embraces its new demographic makeup, or see an escalation of fighting, racism and xenophobia.
National identity: Racial tension and anti-immigrant sentiment have grown.

White Americans often feel threatened by growing diversity, according to research by Jennifer Richeson, a social psychologist at Yale University. A Pew Research Center survey found that 59% of Republicans and 46% of whites said a majority non-white population will weaken American culture. President Trump and other politicians capitalize on polarization.

“The panic translates into an effective voting block that has high anxiety about immigration, diversity and religious issues,” says Jack Goldstone, a public policy professor at George Mason University. Younger voters and minorities are more likely to lean Democrat.

MY TAKE: White or non-white, ever great empire has crumbled over time because of political correctness.  We are supporting the idea that history often repeats itself.

ALSOIn “Last Days of Freedom,” The New Yorker’s Jeffrey Toobin profilesMichael Cohen, who begins serving a three-year sentence at the federal prison in Otisville, N.Y., a week from today:

When we met, Cohen remained outraged that he was prosecuted and Trump was not. “You are going to find me guilty of campaign finance, with McDougal or Stormy, and give me three years — really?” Cohen said. “And how come I’m the only one? I didn’t work for the campaign. I worked for him. And how come I’m the one that’s going to prison? I’m not the one that slept with the porn star.”

MY TAKE: Michael Cohen is a slime.  Jail is what he needs, Trump or no Trump.

FROM THE MIDDLE
The WSJ reports  Avengers: Endgame’ Pulverizes Box-Office Records in Debut. Walt Disney’s “Avengers: Endgame” became the first movie in history to gross more than $1 billion in its debut at the world-wide box office. Hollywood had expected the superhero epic to set a record, but its performance stretched the limit of what many studio executives thought was even possible in an opening weekend.

MY TAKE: My kids contributed to the pot.

ALSO…Trump’s New NAFTA stalling in HOUSE. President Trump’s push to revamp North America’s trade rules is hitting a roadblock in Washington as Democrats and labor groups demand changes, dimming its chances of passage before next year’s election.

MY TAKE: If I had a $1 for every correct prediction I’ve made, I’d be richer than Trump.  Although, I should get $10 for this one considering I made it a year ago.
