Good morning!

The day is Monday, April 22, and here are the stories I am watching…

FROM THE RIGHT
FOX NEWS: NEW DETAILS IN SRI LANKA BOMBINGS EMERGE AS DEATH TOLL RISES: The series of bombings that ripped through churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday and left at least 290 people dead and more than 500 people wounded were carried out by seven suicide bombers and investigators are examining reports that intelligence agencies had warnings of possible attacks, according to the Associated Press …  No one has taken responsibility for the bombings. Defense Minister Ruwan Wijewardena described the blasts as a terrorist attack by religious extremists, and police said 13 suspects had been arrested.

MY TAKE: Allow me to enter the words Fox News is too weak to write: Muslim terrorists carrying out their evil Islamic beliefs.

ALSO: AOC FACING EARLY RE-ELECTION CHALLENGE: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s surging national profile has inspired a trio of Republican opponents from her home district — along with a multimillionaire mystery donor who could help close the gap in her foes’ long-shot race against her … Just three months after taking office, the Democratic socialist congresswoman’s challengers include an Egyptian American journalist, who has already tossed her hat in the ring, and an NYPD cop-turned-high-school-civics teacher and conservative talk-radio producer, both of whom are seriously exploring a run against her. And the fledgling challengers could get help from a wealthy New Yorker committed to backing an Ocasio-Cortez opponent, the New York Post reports.

MY TAKE: Please God in heaven remove her. If not, the farting cows will die.

AND THIS TOO:REPORT: U.S TO SANCTION FIVE NATIONS OVER IRANIAN OIL – The Trump administration is set to inform five nations that they will no longer be exempt from U.S. sanctions if they continue to import oil from Iran, reports said Sunday … Secretary of State Mike Pompeo plans to announce the policy move on Monday, which would no longer renew sanctions waivers for allies Japan, South Korea, and Turkey. The other countries no longer exempt are China and India. The waivers for sanctions will expire on May 2. The Washington Post first reported on the move, and three sources confirmed the report to the Associated Press.

MY TAKE: Make America great again!

FROM THE LEFT
AXIOS is providing 2 Earth Day “facts.” Hawaii’s Waikiki Beach could soon be underwater, as rising sea levels caused by climate change overtake its white sand beaches and bustling streets, AP reportsHonolulu will start experiencing frequent flooding within the next 15 to 20 years, officials predict. State lawmakers are considering spending millions for a coastline protection program aimed at defending the city from regular tidal inundations.

U.S. nuclear plants weren’t built for climate change, Bloomberg reports“54 of the [60] nuclear plants operating in the U.S. weren’t designed to handle the flood risk they face.” Nineteen face three or more threats that they weren’t designed to handle.”

MY TAKE: Yesterday was tough, my soon to be 11-year-old figured out there is no Easter Bunny.  This led to the revelation that mommy and daddy have been spreading fake news about who delivers the money under her pillow for a missing tooth, and who actually fulfills her Christmas list.  It was a painful conversation, but had I to do it over again I would have added in that there is no such thing as climate change.  And if I am wrong and the socialist from New York (Rep. AOC) is correct, does it matter about the “facts” in the Axios report? I mean, AOC says we’ll all be dead in 12-years anyhow.

ALSO: “Ukraine entered uncharted political waters … after … a comedian with no political experience and few detailed policies had dramatically up-ended the status quo and won the country’s presidential election,” per ReutersThe landslide by Volodymyr Zelenskiy, 41, “is a bitter blow for incumbent Petro Poroshenko,” who cast himself as a bulwark against Russian aggression.

MY TAKE: We experienced the same crap in 2008 and 2012 minus the jokes.

FROM THE MIDDLE
The Wall Street Journal: India struggles to employ an exploding population. As Indians elect a government, the country’s economy faces a challenge that could define its global success in the years ahead: how to find well-paying jobs for hundreds of millions of young people.

MY TAKE: Does it matter?  Half of them will end up here in US in a few years anyway.

ALSO: Responding to the Mueller report. Democratic presidential hopefuls are calibrating how to respond to the special counsel’s report, amid concerns the issue could backfire with swing voters and drown out their broader agendas. The moves come as House Democrats are set to review their next steps during a conference call today.

MY TAKE: The fat lady sang last week, you’d think they’d realize the game is over.

  1. DML really liked the way you did what I’m watching today especially My Take .
Keep up the good work of you and your staff to tell us the truth. Thank you

  2. I love the fact u put out things you are watching today and your take on them. No one and I mean no one could do it better than DML. Sorry you had that conversation with your daughter. They grow up so fast and it is often sad to tell them there is no Easter bunny, no tooth fairy etc. Just another page in their life closes.

    Travel safely. Love and hugs

  3. I can’t thank you enough for the knowledge that I have received from you when I starting watching you after you first started your Walk and talks. You were interesting and funny and you didn’t talk over my head. You said things that back then I would have said they were lucky predictions. As time went by I realized that wasn’t the case. Then after listening to you talk about immigration I realized that everything you said made since to me. Then first time your 5 films for a price that I couldn’t pass up. The two for one deal. As soon as they arrived I watched the first one I was hooked. I binge watched all five. Anyway this is my way of thanking you for making me the smartest person in the room. I can honestly say I have never missed one of you shows. Sometimes I don’t get to watch them in real time but I really believe through sharing and having conversations with people and mostly Team DML we can win 2020 and by spreading the message and solving the imagration problem we can save our Country. I have said enough so let me just one more time. THANK YOU

  4. Keep telling us the truth, DML, we need facts not fiction. I’m sick and tired of living in the twilight zone or is that the outer limits by the left.
    Thank you so much
