Good morning, today is May, 6, and these are the stories I am watching.

FROM THE RIGHT
Fox News….

U.S. sending Iran a ‘clear and unmistakable message’
The U.S. is sending the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group and a bomber task force to the Middle East in order “to send a clear and unmistakable message to the Iranian regime,” National Security Adviser John Bolton announced Sunday night. Bolton said the deployment was in response to “a number of troubling and escalatory indications and warnings” on the part of Tehran, but did not elaborate. “[A]ny attack on United States interests or on those of our allies will be met with unrelenting force,” Bolton said. “The United States is not seeking war with the Iranian regime, but we are fully prepared to respond to any attack, whether by proxy, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or regular Iranian forces.”

MY TAKE: Iran, like N.Korea, cannot and should not be trusted.  And if they show the slightest signs of an attack, we need to get them first — making it sound it can never happen again.  They are the Muslim state which can never be trusted.

ALSO…Trump: Mueller should not testify, no do-overs for Dems
President Trump is not in favor of Special Counsel Robert Mueller testifying before the House Judiciary Committee on May 15 and answering questions about his findings on Russian interference in the 2016 election. Rep. David Cicilline, D-R.I., told “Fox News Sunday” that a tentative date of May 15 has been set for Mueller to appear before the House Judiciary Committee and face questioning over his report. The Rhode Island lawmaker said that while there is no guarantee that Mueller will show up to the hearing, he heard nothing from either Mueller’s representatives or the White House to indicate that the special counsel would not testify. On Twitter on Sunday, the president questioned why Democrats wanted Mueller to testify and stated again that there was “No collusion” between his campaign in 2016 and Russia. “Bob Mueller should not testify. No redos for the Dems!” Trump tweeted.

MY TAKE: Sometimes Trump is his own worst enemy.  He should just ignore this whole narrative and get busy on other things.  Nobody cares anymore.  Once the media attention dies so will the story.  He is allowing it to fester.  They know it bothers him, so they continue to play it.  Let it go Mr President.  Just LET IT GO.

FROM THE LEFT
AXIOS reports…
Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora will skip Thursday’s White House ceremony for the World Series winners, “given what he considers the Trump administration’s poor treatment of his native Puerto Rico.”

MY TAKE: As a New Yorker I am permitted just one response: The Red Sox suck.

ALSO…AXIOS writes: “World shrugs as China locks up 1 million Muslims”

China has detained an estimated 1 to 2 million Uighur Muslims (pronounced WEE-guhr), and millions more live one step away from detention under the watchful eye of the Chinese Communist Party, Axios World editor David Lawler reportsWhy it matters: It has been two years since the internment camps came to light internationally, and a series of reports from the region of Xinjiang have made vivid the scale of the abuses. Yet foreign governments and corporations are content to pretend it isn’t happening.

“If … any other country in the world was found to be detaining over 1 million Muslims of a certain ethnicity, you can bet we’d be seeing an international outcry,” says Sophie Richardson, China director for Human Rights Watch.

China has long waged a campaign of “assimilation and cultural destruction” in Xinjiang. But under President Xi Jinping it has dramatically escalated. China used to deny the camps existed; it now claims they’re voluntary and designed to root out extremism.

MY TAKE: Made in China takes on a new meaning.  With that being the case, get ready for radical Mislims to carry out violence as Ramadan begins across the world, Muslims fast each day for the entire month, abstaining from food and drink from dawn to dusk.

FROM THE MIDDLE
WSJ reports: More H-2B visas. The Trump administration is moving ahead to allow an additional 30,000 seasonal workers to return to the U.S. this summer, a higher-than-expected number that lays bare the tensions in the approach to legal immigration.

MY TAKE: One day, one I am elected president, this nonsense will stop.  That said, please go to DennisMichaelLynch.com/shirt and become part of the TEAM DML family.
