Today is September 23 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion. And don’t forget to download the free DML App from the Google Play or Apple App Store to remain connected to me throughout the day.

1-Seattle City Council overrides mayor’s veto of police cuts
Seattle’s City Council voted 7-2 Tuesday evening to override Mayor Jenny Durkan’s veto of a bill that would cut police funding by around $3 million.

“We cannot look away from this and we can no longer accept the status quo if we truly believe that Black lives matter,” Council President Lorena Gonzalez said, according to MyNorthwest.com.

The bill would also remove as many as 100 officers from various police units and limit staff pay to $150,000, The Seattle Times reported.

The council said the bill was a “downpayment” toward its effort to ultimately defund the department by 50%, which would likely happen next year.

DML: It would be a nice dream for every cop to quit, move to another city where they respect police, an in the process allow Seattle to become Detroit.  In my dream the progressives holding office are taught a lesson by overseeing a ghetto.   But dreams don’t come true unless you’re Obama, the dreams of his father was to see America dwindle into the abyss.  Therefore, I say Trump sends in the troops.

2-New video released of Kenosha shootings
Attorneys for Kyle Rittenhouse have released new footage of the shootings he carried out during protests and riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, arguing that they demonstrate a clear-cut case of self-defense.

Rittenhouse, 17, is charged with intentional homicide and other charges for fatally shooting two and injuring one during a confrontation on August 25, the third night of protests over the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a black man who was shot in the back and paralyzed.

On Tuesday, Rittenhouse’s attorney Lin Wood released footage outlining the defense’s version of events on the night of the shootings, in particular highlighting the events leading up to the first shooting, which was not captured on as widely-circulated video as the subsequent two shootings.

The new video is here:

3-Costco removes popular cheese after Black Lives Matter controversy
Costco has stopped carrying products from a pimento cheese brand owned by a South Carolina mayor who called the Black Lives Matter and Antifa movements “terror organizations.”

Brian Henry, the mayor of Pawleys Island and owner of Palmetto Cheese, told the Georgetown Times that the company’s products were being pulled “as a matter of normal business” and that the wholesale retailer rotates items in and out regularly.

“We remain optimistic that Palmetto Cheese will be back on the shelves in the not-too-distant future,” Henry told the Times.

The CEO later apologized for his comments.

DML: The amount of money Mary and I spend at Costco just went from a few thousand dollars per year to ZERO.  As for the CEO, he should walk back his apology.

4-Time Magazine releases 100 most influential people list

Dr Anthony Fauci, President Donald Trump and the founders of Black Lives Matter have been named to TIME magazine’s 2020 list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

In a tribute to the ‘woke’ heavyweights of the last year, BLM founders Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi were joined on the annual list by Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade who were praised for raising their transgender daughter Zaya while soccer player Megan Rapinoe was hailed for her LGBT rights advocacy.

Fauci was praised by late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel for ‘refusing to be pressured by politicians’ after the virologist’s frequent clashes with Donald Trump over the federal government’s response to Covid-19.

DML: Trump aside, the list reads like a who’s who of dumb, radical, and dishonest people.

5-Cindy McCain endorses Joe Biden for president
Former US Senator and presidential nominee John McCain’s widow Cindy McCain announced her support for Joe Biden on Tuesday, saying: “We are Republicans, yes, but Americans foremost.” Cindy McCain also joined the Democratic National Convention in August, where she shared a video about her husband’s “unlikely friendship” with Biden.

DML: Are you shocked?  This is the wife of the man who kept Obamacare alive and lead the Gang of 8 amnesty bill.  Regardless of what his camera-seeking bimbo daughter Meghan McCain says on The View, her father was not beloved.  He was loathed.  I’m guessing he’s hanging out on Cloud 9 with Ruth Ginsburg this very moment.

DML PARTING WORDS: I often predict things correctly in the world of news and politics.  I have a prediction for you today, but it is not necessarily politics but close enough.  Having discussed this situation at length with advisors, “this” being my current battle with Facebook, my prediction is they will remove from their platform the real list of 100 most influential people.  The folks like me who get larger LIVE audiences than presidential candidates and celebrities.  People like me who fight for the truth.  Therefore, if you are reading this, I would suggest two things.  ONE. If you do not have the DML News App, you must download it for free at the Google Play or Apple App Store.  This will allow you to see all the news, my videos, and the audio version of my daily DML LIVE program.  It offers the gateway to TeamDML.com for our members, and it provides access to our daily deals.  TWO.
