Dramatic video: Train plows through snow in NYC, taking passengers by surprise

An Amtrak train made a wild entrance when it plowed through several feet of snow before coming to a stop in New York City. Passengers waiting to be picked up caught the moment on camera, but at their own expense!

In the video, you see the snow fly through the air as the train approaches the station, smacking the passengers who are waiting by the curb. According to NBC New York, several people were knocked to the ground.

Criag Oleszewski was one of the people who caught the rare moment on camera. The caption to his video said, “I wish I hadn’t panned on the engine, should have stayed on the unsuspecting crowd of passengers, most of whom boarded after me and were covered in snow like little frosty ice-men.”

New York City was expecting storm Stella to bring several feet of snow, but fortunately only received 4 to 8 inches. Thousands of flights were canceled on Tuesday as a result of heavy snowfall from the storm in many areas, including Boston.
