The eighth – and presumably final – person on the list of attendees at the meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya has now been identified.
The Washington Post reported Tuesday that Ike Kaveladze, an American-based employee of Russian real estate firm Emin and Aras Agalarov was the eighth person in attendance at the June 2016 meeting in Trump Tower.
According to the report, Scott Balber, an attorney for the firm, confirmed that Kaveladze was at the meeting. Emin and Aras Agalarov hosted the Miss Universe pageant in 2013, and Kaveladze attended the meeting as a representative for the firm.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller reportedly called Balber last weekend, requesting to know the identity of the representative.
Kaveladz, who is a U.S. citizen, was expecting to act as a translator at the meeting, but upon arriving, discovered that Veselnitskaya had arrived with her own translator, Anatoli Samochornov, a former official with the U.S. Department of State.
The full list of participants at the meeting now includes:
- Donald Trump Jr.
- Jared Kushner
- Paul Manafort
- Natalia Veselnitskaya
- Anatoli Samochornov
- Rinat Akhmetshin
- Rob Goldstone
- Ike Kaveladze
