The mainstream media, when not busy attempting to ridicule President Trump’s agenda, are channeling their obsessive compulsive reporting (OPR) mannerisms again with the latest Trump handshake ‘blunder.’
Before heading off to the G20 summit in Germany, the President and First Lady met with Poland’s President and First Lady on Thursday.
Video footage shows Trump shaking hands with Polish President Andrzej Duda. When Trump reaches over to greet Duda’s wife, she chooses to shake Melania Trump’s hand first before going on to then shake his hand.

Of course, it’s simply likely the Polish First Lady was working her way down the line with the handshakes. But for those in the mainstream media, it’s another moment to ostracize Trump as a ‘failure’ with common gestures.
In fact, considering the mainstream media networks love to ridicule Trump about his “small hands,” it’s borderline obsessive that they continue these fabricated whirlwind rumors about how Trump is incapable with using his hands ‘correctly.’
And yes, it is obsessive, because this is the eighth time since Trump took office that the media has chosen to focus on these perceived mishaps rather than the moments of action being put into policy building.
When Trump met with Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel, networks blasted Trump for not shaking her hand during a photo-op.
Yet when Trump invited Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to the White House a few weeks after the inauguration, pundits claimed Trump fell flat when Trudeau lacked acknowledgment of the U.S. president’s extended hand.
But then when Trump met with French President Emmanuel Macron, the media accused Trump of being too aggressive with that handshake.
It doesn’t end there, because when Trump greeted Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the U.S. leader was targeted about having an awkward bear hug with his Indian counterpart.
And when Trump isn’t hugging a world leader, he’s then being scrutinized for being an aggressive “pusher,” such as the overblown coverage of his slight encounter with the prime minister of Montenergo.
The scrutiny against Tump’s encounters with global leaders is not just bound to international coverage; since Trump’s presidency began, news networks also over analyzed Trump’s hand holding attempts with the First Lady.
When the duo arrived in Israel, a simple ‘hand brush’ had U.S. media in an uproar. A day later, a similar incident only added more fuel to the media fire.
Eight times. Eight times since Trump became president, the U.S. media has decried blasphemy against his hand motions, actions and gestures. One can only imagine tomorrow’s headline if Trump’s meeting with Russian President Putin draws the same OPR ire before cameras.
