COLORADO — An elderly man died after being stuck inside a Denver elevator for approximately one month.

Isaak Komisarchik was found on Aug. 2 inside a parking garage lift by elevator repair workers after nearby residents complained about an awful smell, according to The Denver Post.

The 82-year-old man had entered the elevator on July 5 when it became stuck.

Despite pushing the emergency button numerous time, Komisarchik was left to die in the elevator, the paper reported.

The parking garage elevator had been under renovation.
