The Wayne State Unversity police officer who was shot in the head and killed in Detroit on November 22nd, was awarded a citation for valor and posthumously promoted to sergeant.
Collin Rose, a K-9 officer with two police dogs, was investigating car break ins on the Detroit campus when he was shot once in his head as he tried to arrest DeAngelo Davis, who faces murder and gun charges.
Collin later died from his wounds.
Fellow K-9 officers from across the state of Michigan gathered in a procession Wednesday morning at Ford Field to pay respects at the fallen officer’s visitation.
