The End of Obama’s Legacy

Early Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama reportedly called President-elect Donald Trump to congratulate the candidate on his presidential victory. It has not been confirmed what was said during the phone conversation between Obama and Trump, though campaign manager Kellyanne Conway did validate that the phone call indeed occurred.

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, Obama’s glimmering shot of hope to continue his initiated legacy in 2008, fell short on Election Day during the electoral college count. He repeatedly campaigned for the candidate and made strong warnings about electing Trump as president of the United States.

When asked last week by the Rev. Al Sharpton if he could even imagine Trump taking the oath of office and becoming his successor, Obama truthfully said he could not.

Unfortunately for Obama, the people have spoken, and a Trump presidency is now a reality.
