Former Fox News host Greta Van Susteren announced Thursday via Twitter that she was “out at MSNBC” after her 6 p.m. show on the network debuted six months ago.
“I am out at MSNBC,” Van Susteren tweeted.
“They let her go,” her husband, John Coale, told CNNMoney, adding that she learned the news on Thursday. “We’re working out contract issues now.”
MSNBC President Phil Griffin released a memo to staffers that read, “MSNBC and Greta Van Susteren have decided to part ways. Greta is a well-regarded television veteran and one of only a few broadcasters who can say they’ve hosted shows at all three major cable news networks. We are grateful to her and wish her the best.”
Eric Trump echoed that sentiment with a tweet posted on Friday that said, “@Greta is truly a quality person who will find something great. Greta we wish you the best!”
