Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz (Fla.) appeared in a brief interview on Fox News Friday afternoon, and told host Harris Faulkner that he believed the new White House Chief of Staff would be President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
Gaetz made the announcement just moments after news broke that former New Jersey governor Chris Christie had released a statement taking himself out of the running for the job.
Gaetz told Faulkner that he was going to make a prediction that the job will go to Kushner.
Faulker noted that he is not one to make predictions, and asked him, “Is this just a guess, or do you believe Kushner will be the next Chief of Staff?”
“It’s an informed guess,” Gaetz responded knowingly.
Rep. Matt Gaetz says on Fox News that he thinks Jared Kushner will be next COS. When pushed by Harris Faulkner, he said it is an “informed guess.”

Rep. @mattgaetz just opened up his interview with @HARRISFAULKNER on @FoxNews saying he “predicts” that Jared Kushner will be the next White House Chief of Staff, then after a follow up, called it “an informed guess”. Whatever that means.
