Speaking to a crowd at the Polk County Steak Fry in Iowa, 2020 candidate for president Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Cali.) gave a lecture about unity and leadership, and it was too much for DML News App founder Dennis Michael Lynch to bear.

“We need leadership that is prepared to unify our country around our common values, our common goals, and our common aspirations,” Harris tweeted.

“Americans deserve unity — not division,” she continued.

Harris included a clip from her speech at the Steak Fry, in which she declared no one lies awake at night worrying about the debate between socialism and capitalism, and that the answers to meeting our “challenges” in America won’t be found by going back to the “good old days.”

DML responded with a scathing tweet.

He wrote, “You couldn’t lead yourself out of a paper bag, nor a plastic bag,” an apparent reference to her home state of California’s ban on single-use plastic bags.
