Hundreds of outraged protesters again breached the barriers and took over the steps of the Supreme Court building following the Senate’s confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh as the newest Supreme Court Justice.
The protesters chanted repeatedly, “Our Courts, our courts, our courts,” “No Justice, No Peace!” and “Black Lives Matter!” In another chant, they all screamed, “Shame, shame, shame!”
Some of the protesters even climbed atop the statues on each side of the steps, sitting in the laps of the statues and raising their fists along with the chants.
Capitol Police and Supreme Court Police finally moved in and drove them all off the steps. Reportedly, no violence erupted.
