Rock legend Bruce Springsteen decided to go political during a concert performance in Australia this week.
He told the rapt crowd, “We stand in front of you as embarrassed Americans.” He was alluding to the election of Donald Trump.
Springsteen then played the song “Don’t Hang Up,” thus, mocking a recent call between the president and an Australian ambassador that was reported to be contentious.
President Trump denies the claim, stating the call was positive.
Springsteen, who is known to be ultra liberal, was born and raised in New Jersey and is widely known for his hit song, “Born in the U.S.A.”
