Fayette County, Alabama — A father and his son have each been pronounced dead. The cause of death for both men is a car accident. The rare thing here is they crashed into each other.
According to police, the crash occurred at around 4:10 a.m. Saturday on Fayette County 49, one mile west of Winfield. The vehicle that the elder family member was driving collided with his son’s 2004 Chevrolet pickup.
Officials said that alcohol is a factor in the crash that killed 50-year-old Jeffrey Morris Brasher and 22-year-old Austin Blaine Brasher.
Jeffrey Brasher was pronounced dead at the scene. Austin Brasher was transported to a nearby hospital in Birmingham where he later died.
Aol.com reported that neither of the men was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
