FBI: Hillary had a ‘C’ problem with e-mails

A newly released FBI document reveals failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton claimed to not have known that a capital parenthetical ‘C’ denoted the existence of classified information in emails.

“When asked what the parenthetical ‘C’ meant before a paragraph within the captioned email, [Clinton] stated she did not know and could only speculate it was referencing paragraphs marked in alphabetical order,” read the FBI’s notes from the interview.

The ‘C’ classification is meant to be at the heading of the document it refers too, and in the subject line of the email. Former FBI director James Comey noted in his congressional testimony that this was not the case with Hillary’s emails but the ‘C’ was positioned at the head of various paragraphs that contained classified information.

This inconsistency could be the reason for Hillary’s confusion, as she also told the FBI that she did know what ‘C’ meant in general.
