Calling it a “terrific victory for the president,” CNBC senior contributor Larry Kudlow on Sunday had nothing but praise for Trump’s tax reform plan, saying, “I can’t think of anything better for business, better for wage earners, better for economic growth than Trump’s 15 percent tax cut plan … I think it’s a home run.”

In an interview with John Catsimatidis airing on AM 970, Kudlow noted, “I know there [were] disputes about it, and there were contradictory statements made in recent weeks, but we won. And I think Trump — this is a terrific victory for the president. He has set a marker on tax reform and economic growth.”

Kudlow acknowledged that Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and other Republicans will likely push back against the president’s plan. “I think you are going to see continuous — I won’t use the word struggle, John — there is going to be a lot of back and forth,” he said.

Kudlow maintained that he expects the tax cuts to grow the economy and “pay for themselves over time,” but added, “I think Paul Ryan doesn’t agree with that. I think he needs to rethink his views there. But I think this and health care will come together. I think there will be agreement … on these issues.”
