FLORIDA — A 15-year-old girl is accused of stabbing her female classmate during a fight that occurred at Chamberlain High School in Tampa.
Tampa police report the incident happened at the high school on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, other students attempted to break up the fight but were unable to prevent one of the girls from stabbing the other.
The female with the knife quickly fled school property but was found by Tampa Police within ten minutes. The school was placed on lockdown for that brief amount of time.
The victim, also a 15-years-old female, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The school principal sent a phone message to parents notifying them of the incident that occurred.
