Carmen Chamblee, 19, was arrested Saturday morning near Clearwater, Florida and charged with second-degree arson, after being accused of intentionally setting a Honda on fire earlier this month, ABC Action News reported.
According to police, Chamblee said she believed the vehicle she set on fire belonged to her ex boyfriend.
The owner of the Honda, Thomas Jennings, said he is clearly not the ex-boyfriend, has never seen her before and has no idea who she is.
Security camera footage shows Chamblee setting the Honda on fire, and investigators believe she placed a lit rag in the gas tank of the vehicle.
Jennings’ roommate was the first to notice the car was on fire and the two men ran out with a pot of water to try to put the fire out.
According to online records, Chamblee was taken to the Pinellas County Jail on Saturday, and was scheduled to appear in front of a judge on Sunday morning.
