During episode 7 of The Truth, Dennis Michael Lynch and Harlan Hill reported on a little-known fact: North Korea poses a serious threat to the United States, but the media has misled the public into thinking that the tiny country can’t hurt us.
“People in mainstream media and government have not been talking about the real threat North Korea poses to the U.S.,” said Hill, noting that the media has, in fact, “spent decades downplaying the real threat North Korea poses.”
Hill cited a recent op-ed which was published on March 29 by former CIA director R. James Woolsey, who warned that North Korea actually does have the capacity to “kill 90 percent of all Americans.”
Hill went on to explain that through miniaturization, North Korea has developed Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) which could conceivably deliver nuclear warheads via long-range missiles to be detonated a few hundred miles above the continental U.S., causing a high-altitude electromagnetic-pulse (EMP) attack.
An EMP device would emit a concentrated pulse of electromagnetic radiation which could disrupt this country’s entire electrical grid, taking out all electronics nationwide, breaking food and water supply chains, disabling banking systems, cutting off fuel sources and production, blacking out hospitals and 911 call centers, and disabling all vehicles that use electronic systems. In essence, pretty much every modern “necessity” would stop functioning.
According to Woolsey and Pry, “North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un has been photographed posing with what appears to be a genuine miniaturized nuclear warhead for ballistic missiles. And North Korea does, in fact, have two classes of ICBMs—the road-mobile KN-08 and KN-14—which both appear to be equipped with sophisticated reentry vehicles.”
North Korea, also known as the DPRK, is reported “one of only 12 entities worldwide to have sent satellites into space with their own indigenously developed launch vehicles.”
In fact, Woolsey and Pry say that North Korea doesn’t even need missiles. It’s possible that the communist country could deliver an atomic bomb “hidden on a freighter sailing under a false flag into a U.S. port or hire their terrorist allies to fly a nuclear 9/11 suicide mission across the unprotected border with Mexico,” according to the experts.
In fact, over the years, other officials have tried to warn Americans about the DPRK’s ability to arm missiles with nuclear warheads.
An EMP attack has the ability to bring the U.S. down to medieval-level population, according to Woolsey and Pry, who noted that “90 percent of Americans” would perish, due to “starvation and societal collapse.”
Last year, they warned that the North Koreans have actually been testing a “super-EMP weapon” and “two North Korean satellites, the KMS-3 and KMS-4, presently orbit over the U.S. on trajectories consistent with surprise EMP attack.”
Hill further noted that “the equipment to get our electrical grid back on-line is built in China.”
“It just takes one successful maniac to have massive repercussions,” Hill pointed out, adding that North Korea is a leading seller of arms to our enemies in the Middle East and Africa.
According to Hill, former senior national security officials of the Reagan and Clinton administrations warned us two years ago that North Korea is capable of delivering a miniaturized nuclear warhead, specially designed to conduct a high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack against the United States.
The Congressional EMP Commission said that “a single warhead delivered by North Korean satellite could black out the national electric grid and other life-sustaining critical infrastructures for over a year—killing 9 of 10 Americans by starvation and societal collapse.”
“We are vulnerable, this threat is real, ” emphasized Hill.
