The identities of five people killed in a sightseeing helicopter crash Sunday night in New York City’s East River have been released, along with a short video clip taken during the final moments of the ride, prior to the crash.

Killed were photographer Trevor Cadigan, 26, of Dallas, Texas, two New York City residents — Tristan Hill, 30, of the sightseeing-tour company Sightsy, and Daniel Thompson, 34, who worked for the helicopter company — as well as 26-year-old firefighter Brian McDaniel of Dallas and Argentinian Carla Vallejos-Blanco, 29, the New York Post reported.

The Washington Post stated that McDaniel was a friend of Cadigan’s, and was visiting him from Dallas.

Cadigan also took a short video of himself and the other passengers and posted it to Instagram prior to the crash. The video shows the passengers smiling and enjoying their ride.

Cadigan was a video journalist who just moved to New York City a few months ago, relatives said.

The pilot was the only survivor in the crash.

The following post on Cadigan’s Instagram account is a picture of him at New York City’s Times Square celebrating New Year’s Day.
