Former Breitbart writer leaves National Security Council post

Former columnist for Breitbart News, Tera Dahl, formerly the deputy chief of staff of the National Security Council has been reassigned a position outside the White House.

Buzzfeed reports that the White House said it was Dahl’s intent to move into a policy role following Trump’s transition into office.

“Tera Dahl has done exemplary work both on the transition and in the first months of the Trump administration getting the National Security Council staffed up and running from the chief of staff’s office,” White House spokesperson Michael Anton said to Buzzfeed. “It was always her intent to move into a policy role once this task was completed.”

Dahl’s next position hasn’t been outlined.

The move will most likely be seen as the result of chafing between rival White House factions led by former Breitbart Executive Steve Bannon and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster.
