Former Obama speechwriter tweets dire warning about Trump

A former speechwriter for Barack Obama took to Twitter Sunday with a dire message. Jon Favreau warns that President Donald Trump’s tweets Sunday, following Saturday’s terror attacks in London, suggest the president may do something dangerous.

Favreau has been highly critical of President Trump, and his Twitter feed is filled with negative comments about the president and his policies. Sunday, Favreau tweeted out to his followers: “It’s hard to read Trump’s tweets this morning and not think that we’re one domestic attack away from the most dangerous version of this guy.”

Favreau is making reference to three tweets from President Trump posted Sunday morning. Responding to the terror attack in London, which resulted in the deaths of at least seven people and injuries to 50, the president tweeted the following messages:

First- “We must stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security for our people. If we don’t get smart it will only get worse.”

Second- “At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!'”

Third–  “Do you notice we are not having a gun debate right now? That’s because they used knives and a truck!”

Favreau co-founded the media group “Crooked Media” whose mission statement says they wanted to create a place to have “a sane conversation about politics.” They plan to be a site that “informs, entertains, and inspires action” with an “emphasis on activism and political participation.” They admit that they are not unbiased, and lean heavily left.
