“Power Rangers Samurai” actor Ricardo Medina has admitted to killing his roommate with his sword. Medina pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday.

According to FOX, the 38-year-old was originally charged with murder and faced 26-years-to-life in prison if convicted on that charge. Medina is now facing six years in prison on a manslaughter charge.

Prosecutors say an argument had started between Medina and his roommate, Joshua Sutter, over Medina’s girlfriend. Medina originally said he stabbed Sutter in self-defense.

The incident happened two years ago at their house in Green Valley, California.

Fox News reports Sutter died from a fatal abdominal wound. His autopsy showed he also had hand injuries consistent with defensive wounds.

Sutter’s sister told local news outlets that her brother would have been 38-years-old on Thursday.
