Former Trump staffers have child after campaign affair

Former Trump communications director Jason Miller revealed Wednesday that he is the father of former Trump staffer AJ Delgado’s baby, born in July.

Delgado happily announced the birth of her child on Twitter last month saying: “Dear friends: Beyond thrilled to share with you that I’m now the proud mother of a beautiful son (!), William!!! Born 7/10.”

Miller is married to another woman but took to Page Six Wednesday to reveal he was the child’s father. Delgado previously hinted the two had an affair on the campaign trail.

Miller said in a statement, “My wife and I, along with our two daughters, are excited to welcome William into the world and into our family, and we appreciate the well wishes we’ve received from so many.”

Delgado and Miller reportedly have only spoken through their lawyers since the affair, and Delgado didn’t receive Miller’s acknowledgment of the child warmly.

Back in December when Trump initially tapped Miller to be his communications director, Delgado immediately took to Twitter to suggest that Miller got her pregnant. She tweeted her congratulations to “the baby-daddy,” and talked about the “the 2016 version of John Edwards,” a reference to John Kerry’s vice-presidential nominee and 2008 Democratic presidential candidate, who fathered a child with a mistress.

Miller soon told the president he would not be accepting the communications director position.

Delgado said that Miller’s excitement at the baby’s birth was “news to her.”
