CNN provided a platform to former White House counsel John Dean to rip at President Trump Monday evening.
Dean believes President Trump has gone farther to obstruct justice than former President Richard Nixon.
“I think Trump is Nixon on steroids and stilts,” Dean said during his interview with Anderson Cooper.
Dean said during the interview he thinks the country is witnessing a “very public obstruction of justice.”
His comments come after Trump over the weekend took to Twitter to lash out at special counsel Robert Mueller‘s probe into Russian election interference and possible ties between the Trump campaign and Russia.
DML News CEO Dennis Michael Lynch called for Trump to fire Mueller Monday, stating that few Americans would think twice at this point. “Everyone is tired of this probe, which is clearly about going after the Trump Organization — it has nothing to do with Russia collusions.”
"What we're witnessing is a very public obstruction of justice. Trump, as I see it, has already exceeded everything that Nixon did. He's really much more intimately involved than Nixon ever was in the cover-up." John Dean, Fmr Nixon counsel #ProtectMueller pic.twitter.com/eiLsqRgy7P
