In what has turned out to be a story dug up from Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s basket of deplorable memories, the D.C rumor mill is stewing with the recent revelation that Spicer was once the White House Easter Bunny.
A 2008 interview with Politico has re-emerged where Spicer, then working at the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office, was given a chance to explain the duties as the White House’s official Easter Bunny.

Jokingly explaining the perks of being the White House Easter Bunny, Spicer told Politico in the 2008 interview, “I have an in with Teddy of the from the [Washington] Nationals’ racing presidents…we share a bond.”
Spicer also remarked that “Kids love the Easter Bunny. There is something really special about seeing all the families on the White House lawn.”
