Fox News Hires Obama State Dept. Official in New Role

Fox News Channel has hired a controversial former State Department spokesperson who served in the Obama administration.  Marie Harf will be now be an on-air contributor for both Fox News and Fox Business.

Harf will make her debut on Martha MacCallum’s program, “The First 100 Days,” at 7pm Monday night. She will discuss topics such as “national security and political analysis,” according to a report by The Blaze.

The move to hire Harf is slightly strange considering she has been lambasted, ridiculed and mocked by Fox News hosts for the last several years on various programs. In February of 2015, Harf baselessly claimed that the “lack of jobs” within the U.S. was partly responsible for the rise of ISIS.

A few years ago, “Fox and Friends” dedicated an entire segment to Harf, entitled “Marie Harf’s media flubs.”
