There is no shortage of people telling the president to stop with the tweets. Our very own DML has been saying it since the election was won. But no matter who tells the president to stop, no matter what excuse people give, the president continues to tweet things that get him in trouble.
Trump’s newest lawyer, Jay Sekulow, spent his entire weekend covering for the president’s recent tweet in which he said he was being investigated by the special counsel. Of all the questions Sekulow was asked over the weekend, the most obvious one came on Monday morning from Fox News host, Brian Kilmeade.
Kilmeade asked, “When the president is angry, and he is tweeting, why aren’t you as his lawyer telling him not to tweet?” Sekulow danced around the question by stating the president has 103,000,000 followers on social media and he has redefined the way in which communications from the White House is done. He then said it is not his place to tell the president not to tweet. Kileade pushed back hard by stating it was his job as his lawyer.
