New reports show UC Berkeley received $370 million in federal funding last year which amounts to more than half of their entire budget.

The school has been under fire ever since students from the university held a riot on campus this year, preventing Breitbart senior editor Milo Yiannoplouos from speaking.

Buildings were destroyed, vehicles were lit on fire, Trump supporters were sprayed in the face with pepper spray and Milo was evacuated from the campus.

President Donald Trump threatened to take away Berkeley’s federal funding after the incident.

“If U.C Berkeley does not allow free speech and practices violence on innocent people with a different point of view – NO FEDERAL FUNDS?” Trump wrote.

“Each year, the UC Berkeley campus receives well over half a billion dollars in research and other support from external sources,” the university’s website states. “The federal government provided 55 percent of these funds, and California state agencies and other government sources, industry, and the nonprofit sector supplied the rest.”
