According to a new Gallup poll, the majority of Americans think the media is too tough on Trump.

The poll shows 36% of Americans think the media has been “too tough,” 31% think the media has been “about right,” and 28% think the media is “not taught enough” on Trump.

Gallup also broke down the poll by political affiliation.

While Republicans were on the same page in believing the media has been too tough on Trump since his inauguration, Democrats were split.

“Nearly three in four Republicans (74 percent) say the media has been too tough on Trump. Democrats, on the other hand, are more divided, with 49 percent saying the media has not been tough enough and 40 percent saying its coverage has been about right,” stated Gallup.

Gallup reports that when Barack Obama was elected president in 2009, only 11% of Americans felt the media was too harsh on him.
