ORLANDO: A 2-year old boy vacationing with his family at Disney was attacked and dragged into a resort lagoon by an alligator Tuesday night. As of Wednesday morning the boy had still not been found.
It happened at the Seven Seas Lagoon at Disney World’s The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
According to authorities, the 2-year-old boy was playing at the edge of the shoreline of the lagoon when the alligator came up and snatched the boy. The boy’s family is from Nebraska and they were on vacation with their three children at the resort when the alligator attacked.
The boy’s father entered the water and tried to grab the child from the gator, but he was unsuccessful.
Four alligators had already been caught in the lagoon early Wednesday morning, but no evidence had been found indicating any of the reptiles were responsible for attacking the boy.
