George Takei’s Anti-Trump Poll Backfires, Twitter Roast Ensues

This week, Actor George Takei took to Twitter to rally his followers and poll them on who they believe does the most harm to the American people — President Trump or the media.

The actor tweeted, “Trump says the media is the true enemy of the American people. So let’s take a poll. Who do you think does MORE HARM to the American people?”

Here are the two options which were given by Takei: “The ‘Unfair’ News Media” or “Donald J. Trump.”

Takei, who has openly opposed President Trump, likely posted the poll expecting Twitter users to choose Trump. However, after nearly 70,000 votes, the poll was almost tied, with 49 percent choosing the media and 51 percent choosing President Trump.

As Takei clearly did not expect those results, he deleted the poll from Twitter. Twitter users, not letting Takei’s decision to delete the poll go unnoticed, proceeded to roast him for being “dishonest.”

Takei responses
According to Takei, his poll was “hijacked” by “alt-right virgin trolls.”

He later decided to delete the actual tweet, as well.
