Remember the ‘Montauk Monster?” It was the story of a dead caucus of some kind that washed up on a Long Island beach. The mystery of “what is it” lasted for months with people arguing whether it was a dog or a raccoon. Well, this report is sort of like that but with one HUGE exception… as shown in the video below, this new find is nothing close to a raccoon or a dog.
A massive carcass was discovered after it washed up on an Indonesian beach Tuesday night, and authorities are still trying to figure out what it is. The body of the creature measures about 50 feet in length and was believed to have been dead for at least three days prior to the discovery at Hulung Beach on Serum Island.
A local man said at first he thought it was a boat, while other local reports said fishermen in the area said it looked like a giant squid.
Indonesia’s Marine and Coastal Resources Management are currently conducting lab tests but said the creature is most likely a whale.
