Representative Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) has made it clear he has no idea what is in the new healthcare bill.
“I wish I knew what was in this so-called deal,” the Illinois Republican said on CNN.
This comes after Republicans have said they are “very close” to reaching a deal following last month’s failed attempt to pass the new health bill.
Davis admits the bill has not been rushed and said it is “the same process that we use when we legislate any bill.”
According to the Washington Times, Davis was one of the numerous moderate conservatives who fought the initial health bill, insisting Democrats get more involved in discussions of the new healthcare deal, as well.
Members of the GOP have said details of the bill will be given to others in the party before they return to Washington next week.
