Republican Senator Dean Heller received a threatening note left in his Las Vegas office following a break-in on Saturday morning.

According to 8 News NOW, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that an entry occurred at Heller’s office located at 8930 W. Sunset Road. The incident has been reported as a burglary.

The LVMPD declined to confirm the presence of a threatening note in the office, but said that the investigation is ongoing.

When questioned about the incident, a spokesperson for Heller said, “We can’t comment on ongoing investigations.”

Heller has garnered attention recently for his criticism of the Republican’s proposed health care legislation to repeal and replace ObamaCare. Heller could cast a possible swing vote which might sabotage the Republican’s efforts to achieve health care reform.

Heller’s Senate seat is a top target for Democrats in the 2018 mid-term elections.
