Calling Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov “nothing but a propagandist,” Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Sunday that the man should never have been allowed to meet with President Trump in the Oval Office.
Speaking on”Fox News Sunday,” McCain had harsh words to describe both Lavrov and President Vladimir Putin. “Mr. Lavrov is the stooge of a thug and a murderer, who used Russian precision weapons to strike hospitals in Aleppo, who has committed human rights issues all over the place,” he said in reference to Russia’s invasion of Crimea.
McCain also commented that he was “speechless” when he heard the New York Times report last Friday which claimed to have discovered a memo in which President Trump called former FBI Director James Comey “crazy, a real nut job.”
“I don’t know why someone would say something like that,” McCain stated.
