Sebastian Gorka, President Trump’s former deputy assistant, minced no words in an interview Thursday evening with Fox News anchor Sean Hannity, as he laid out just how serious he believes the Russia-Uranium One investigation could be for Hillary Clinton.
For months, Clinton and other Democrats have accused Trump and his campaign of colluding with Russia, claiming that is how he won the presidential election.
Now, the tables have turned, as details come to the forefront about the 2010 deal approved during the time Hillary Clinton was Obama’s secretary of state. In the deal, a Russian company, Rosatom, was allowed to purchase the Canadian mining firm, Uranium One, giving them control over 20 percent of America’s uranium supply.
Gorka, 47, who served President Trump as deputy assistant from January to August, told Hannity that, if this had happened in the 1950s, Clinton would be tried for treason, and even executed, for her role in authorizing the sale of America’s uranium to Russia.
Hannity had both Gorka and “Clinton Cash” author Peter Schweizer on the show, discussing new developments revealed in the Uranium One scandal.
“There’s [sic] so many scandals – there’s the Uranium One deal – that’s treasonous,” Gorka said. Next, there’s the “dodgy” dossier, which is about Russian disinformation being used to slander Donald Trump. Then, there’s former FBI director James Comey using that disinformation in a special prosecution trigger to investigate the president. A final scandal is Fusion GPS peddling additional fake stories to the left-wing media, Gorka said.
Hannity observed, “The Russians infiltrated our national security to corner the uranium market and they succeeded, and they knew all the crimes that were committed.”
Gorka responded, “If this had happened in the 1950s, there would be people up on treason charges right now. The Rosenbergs, okay? This is equivalent to what the Rosenbergs did and those people got the chair. Think about it. Giving away nuclear capability to our enemies, that’s what we’re talking about.”
Gorka’s condemning statements begin at around the 3:30-minute mark in the following video.
