Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) had strong words for President Trump Sunday, saying he needs to keep quiet about the ongoing Russia investigation.
“You may be the first president in history to go down because you can’t stop inappropriately talking about an investigation that if you just were quiet, would clear you,” Graham said of Trump on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
Graham speaks from a position of confidence that if President Trump were to let the “chaos” subside, he could see real success in reforming the immigration system and achieving other policy goals.
Graham was critical of Trump tweeting that Comey was cowardly.
“At the end of the day, he’s got a good agenda but this gets in the way of it,” he added.
Graham also had some choice words about Trump’s administration and how to deal with Russia:
